How do I sign up for the program?
After you press the let's get started/sign me up button, you will be directed to PayPal to complete the $69 invoice. After you the invoice is paid, you will receive an email with instructions on the final steps to complete your registration.
How do I choose between the Finish Strong and Personal Best programs?
The Finish Strong program is for everyone, whether it's your first Broad Street Run or you've completed it previously but want to improve. Those who want to join the Personal Best program should have been running 3-4 days/week consistently and be comfortable with a long run of at least 4-5 miles.
How will I get my training plan?
Your training plan will be uploaded to Final Surge which is a training log for athletes, coaches and teams. It will give you access to your training plan at any time, from any device. Plus, you have the option to have upcoming workouts sent to you via text message or email and you can share your workouts to social media.
When are the workouts with the coaches?
Wednesday nights of every other week. Details will be provided.
What type of workouts will we be doing?
Speed workouts! But don't be intimidated! Even if you're not looking to set a personal best, incorporating faster paces will help you finish the race strongly.
How will you customize my training paces?
We will take into account your running history, recent race times, and your goals for the Broad Street Run to determine your individual paces.
Will I be able to contact the coaches?
Yes! You will have unlimited email access to both coaches.
Why should I join a virtual program? Isn't in-person training better?
As busy adults, we know that you can't always make group runs. That doesn't mean that you don't need or can't benefit from a coach or group environment. This program provides the best of both worlds. You'll get in-person training for some of your hardest workouts and online support from your coaches and our private community. It's a win-win!
What happens if I can't complete the training program?
We certainly hope that everyone is able to complete the program but if you can't, the training program is still yours to keep to use for a future race.
Can I still join if I don't get accepted in the Broad Street Run lottery?
Yes! If you are planning a late spring and/or fall half marathon or marathon, this program would be a great way to begin base-building! Plus, the Broad Street run has a bib transfer program that allows runners to transfer bibs for a small fee and, historically, there are plenty of bibs available for transfer in the month leading up to the race.
